A performer from Norfolk, Rosanna Roscoe, has been chosen for her first professional acting role as Belle in "Beauty & The Beast." This production is the Britannia Theatre's first pantomime in 30 years and will take place in Great Yarmouth.
Roscoe was selected from over 200 auditionees during an extensive search. She will perform opposite singing star Gareth Gates, who is also co-producing the festive show. Gates stated the team aimed to discover a local talent and transform their career.
Roscoe has strong ties to Norfolk, with family in the county and her grandmother residing there. She revealed she will be living with her grandmother throughout the duration of the panto contract.
She recalled performing from a young age, dancing around her grandmother's living room, making her return to Norfolk for this role feel like a full-circle moment.
