Drink Champs Host on Ye Backlash: 'Wish I Edited More'

Noreaga recently reflected on the controversy surrounding his interview with Kanye West, admitting he wished he had edited more of West's comments. During the interview, West made remarks that included an analogy between Martin Luther King Jr. and George Floyd, and boasted about Adidas not dropping him despite antisemitic statements. Noreaga stated that Diddy, chairman of REVOLT at the time, had advised him against extensive edits, suggesting that removing certain parts might be problematic. Despite this advice, REVOLT eventually removed the 'Drink Champs' episode from its platform due to significant backlash concerning West's antisemitic remarks. Noreaga has since issued an apology for the situation. West's controversial statements continued throughout October 2022, leading businesses like Adidas and Gap to sever ties with him. In the years since, West has faced further consequences, including selling a swastika t-shirt and releasing a song titled 'Heil Hitler' in 2025. He has since attempted to repair his relationships with the Jewish and Black communities, issuing an apology in The Wall Street Journal in January 2025 and meeting with a rabbi in November 2025. Recently, in April 2026, West postponed a concert in France and was banned from the U.K. due to his history of antisemitism, leading to the cancellation of his headline performance at Wireless Fest in London.
