Chicago artist Noname has unveiled "Squatter," her first new music release of the year. This single, which dropped recently, marks her first track since "Hundred Acres" in 2025. "Squatter" is slated to appear on her forthcoming mixtape, titled Cartoon Radio.
The song's lyrical theme revolves around the experience of discovering an uninvited individual in one's home. This guest has allegedly pilfered studio equipment, used the resident's bicycle without permission, and notably, has not contributed to rent payments. The track also features a contribution from DRAM, who performs on the hook.
This new music arrives as Noname also prepares for a 10th-anniversary tour celebrating her debut mixtape, Telefone. The artist herself hinted at her readiness to engage with her music, stating in an Instagram post that she won't hesitate to perform despite her identity as a "librarian."
