Summary
- Creator Erin Foster discusses intentionally making Noah an imperfect boyfriend
- Actress Justine Lupe's Succession co-star Arian Moayed joins the cast
- Adam Brody wants more scenes with co-star Timothy Simons in season 3

In the two weeks since the second season of "Nobody Wants This" premiered, the cast and creators have come together to unpack the new episodes. On Friday, stars Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn joined creator Erin Foster and co-showrunners Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan for a FYC event in Los Angeles.
The group discussed their specific intentions for Brody's character Noah this season. Foster explained that while Noah was a "green flag" in the first season, they wanted to show him as a more imperfect boyfriend in the new episodes. "Sometimes the person you fall for that's great with you wasn't great for someone else; that's how relationships work and I did want to show him in that light," she said.
The conversation also touched on the addition of Lupe's former Succession co-star Arian Moayed as her love interest, as well as the decision to highlight Los Angeles in the show. Foster revealed this was partly due to Bell's request to keep production local so she could be near her kids.
Brody, who is married to actress Leighton Meester, shared his hopes for a potential third season, including the desire to have more scenes with his on-screen brother, played by Simons. "When I saw the second season, I called Erin and I said, 'I really liked it and I have just a few thoughts for maybe season three I want to whisper in your ear,'" he said.
Overall, the cast and creators provided an engaging behind-the-scenes look at the making of "Nobody Wants This" and hinted at exciting developments to come.
