Nintendo Shocks Gamescom: CoD & Bond Hit Switch 2!

Nintendo has officially announced its lineup for Gamescom 2026, set to feature heavily in Cologne from August 26 to August 30. This year's event highlights the Nintendo Switch 2, offering attendees playable demos of highly anticipated titles.

The company confirmed three major first-party games will be available: Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, Splatoon Raiders, and Pokémon Pokopia. These demos provide an early hands-on experience for fans before the official releases.

Beyond exclusives, Nintendo's booth will showcase key third-party titles on the Switch 2. Gamers can look forward to playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, underscoring Microsoft's commitment to the franchise on Nintendo platforms. Additionally, the action title 007 First Light will be present.

This Gamescom marks Nintendo's significant return to European showcases post-Switch 2 launch, emphasizing interactive gameplay over trailers. The playable demos of Call of Duty and James Bond games are notable surprises, especially for titles that have previously skipped Nintendo hardware.

While the lineup is strong, fan speculation continues regarding potential unannounced reveals, such as new installments in The Legend of Zelda or Mario Kart series. Nintendo has not confirmed any further surprises beyond their floor presence at Gamescom Opening Night Live.
