Nigerian Star's Bollywood Debut

Agu Stanley Chiedozie, a 24-year-old Nigerian content creator known as Istanboss, is set to make his mainstream Bollywood debut in Anurag Kashyap's crime thriller 'Bandar.' Stanley arrived in India in 2019 as a student in Lucknow, pursuing a pharmacy degree. He has since gained nearly a million Instagram followers with his relatable humor and fluent Hindi, often sharing observations about Indian life.

His journey is a full-circle moment, inspired by watching Kashyap's film 'Gangs of Wasseypur,' which significantly influenced his decision to learn Hindi and pursue acting. Stanley describes Kashyap as a "chill" and straightforward director, with whom he felt a comfortable working atmosphere. He also expressed excitement about Bobby Deol's performance in the film.

Stanley has faced challenges but focuses on carving his niche, stating, "I'm creating a market for myself." He has also developed a passion for cricket, a sport he never expected to enjoy coming from Nigeria. His experiences, including adapting to vegetarian food, have been significant cultural discoveries.

Beyond 'Bandar,' Stanley is also set to appear in the Telugu musical fantasy 'Sing Geetham' and an upcoming comedy film. He views his success as an opportunity to open doors for other African talents in India, aiming to change negative stereotypes and pave the way for future artists.
