- Cage also expressed regret over not spending time with Sean Connery.
During a New York Comic Con panel on October 10, 2026, Nicolas Cage revealed an old regret: interrupting an interview featuring Chris Rock on The Howard Stern Show back in 2002. Cage explained that he did not recognize Rock was a guest at the time and felt terrible about the unplanned intrusion.
Cage has since apologized to Rock, whom he praised as "the coolest human in all of Hollywood." He acknowledged that while Rock was gracious, he should not have interrupted the broadcast. This memorable faux pas was even noted by the show.
The "National Treasure" star also shared a different regret concerning his friendship with the late actor Sean Connery. Cage mentioned passing up an opportunity to golf with Connery, opting instead for fishing, a decision he now looks back on with some wistfulness.
Looking ahead, Cage confirmed his appearance in the upcoming season of "True Detective." He also has two films slated for release in November 2026: "Madden" and "Best Pancakes in the County."
