Jonas's Greece Proposal Nearly Ruined by Delayed Flight

Singer Nick Jonas recounted the near-miss of his proposal to actor Priyanka Chopra in Greece during a July 2018 trip. Jonas had meticulously planned to propose at midnight on July 19, her birthday, but a significant flight delay disrupted his carefully timed agenda. This unexpected travel hiccup pushed the anticipated moment back by three to four hours.

While Jonas grew increasingly anxious, checking the time and worrying about his plan, Chopra remained oblivious. She believed they were simply enjoying a vacation and later joked about his apparent stress. The couple landed in Greece well behind schedule, and Jonas found himself preoccupied with the clock during dinner, fearing his plan was unraveling.

As the night progressed and Chopra suggested going to bed around 2:30 am, Jonas seized the opportunity. He presented her with one "last gift," retrieved the ring, and proposed on bended knee. Chopra did not immediately accept, reportedly taking between 40 to 50 seconds to respond while staring at him.

The podcast also touched on their relationship's beginnings, with Jonas sharing his first X (formerly Twitter) message to Chopra about a year and a half before they started dating in May 2018. They eventually married in December 2018 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, in 2022.
