Nicholas Hoult Takes $130K Hit on Hollywood Hills Sale

Nicholas Hoult, known for his role as Superman, has sold his longtime Los Angeles home for $2.2 million. This sale represents a financial loss, as the actor purchased the midcentury modern property for $2.33 million in 2018. The property was first listed in February 2025 at $2.95 million, but after more than a year on the market and several price reductions, it closed below Hoult's initial investment.

The Hollywood Hills residence, located in the Outpost Estates, was designed for indoor-outdoor living, featuring a butterfly roofline and extensive glass walls offering city views. The home includes three bedrooms, a remodeled kitchen, and a private outdoor area with a pool, situated on a hillside parcel surrounded by mature trees for privacy.

This sale marks the disposition of one of Hoult's two California properties. He retains ownership of a beach house in Long Beach, purchased in 2022. Hoult is understood to maintain his primary residence in London, although he has stated he lives in California with his two children, having moved to the area to support his burgeoning international acting career.

Hoult's career began in the UK as a child actor, with breakthrough roles in "About a Boy" and "Skins." His transition to international cinema was solidified with roles in "A Single Man" and various franchise titles. Upcoming projects for the actor include "How to Rob a Bank."
