7 Nov
Summary
- Robert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult screen-tested for Bond role.
- Screen tests originally planned for October were postponed.
- A fifth actor was reportedly added to the screen tests late.
The search for the next James Bond has reportedly included screen tests for prominent actors Robert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult. They join previously reported contenders Jack Lowden, Josh O'Connor, and Callum Turner. Insiders suggest a fifth actor may have been added to the lineup at the last minute.
The extensive casting process commenced in the spring with the announcement of casting director Nina Gold's involvement. Following initial auditions in August, producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman, along with director Denis Villeneuve, narrowed down the list of potential actors.
Final screen tests, initially set for earlier in October, were rescheduled to the month's end to accommodate the finalists' availability. While a decision timeframe is unconfirmed, many expect it to be announced by the close of October, potentially before the Thanksgiving holiday.
