The 20-year-old artist will discuss her journey from small performances to opening for major acts, the success of her singles like "iloveitiloveitiloveit" on the Billboard Hot 100, and the creation of her debut album, "My Reckless Abandon."
"Up & Coming" intends to highlight rising talents across various genres including pop, country, and R&B, offering fans a closer look at the artists shaping streaming and social media trends. Host Kyle Denis, a Billboard journalist since 2023, aims to contextualize the influences, origins, and long-term goals of these burgeoning artists.
SickBird Productions, founded by Jade Watson, is a co-producer, extending an existing partnership with Billboard that previously launched the "On The Record With Kristin Robinson" podcast. Billboard co-chief content officers Leila Cobo and Jason Lipshutz expressed enthusiasm for Denis's role in uncovering and showcasing new talent.
