Netflix May: From Murder Mysteries to Monsters

Netflix's May releases aim to capture diverse viewership, avoiding direct competition with cinema blockbusters. The streaming service is debuting a variety of new shows tailored for different age demographics.

Younger audiences can enjoy "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" and a new "Dr. Seuss" series. A notable adaptation of "Lord of the Flies" arrives, set in its original 1950s period and exploring classic themes. For those seeking more mature content, "The Boroughs" presents a unique premise of elderly residents battling monsters, starring Alfred Molina and Geena Davis.

Further offerings include "Mating Season," an adult animated comedy, and "Pop Culture Jeopardy!" moving to Netflix for its second season. Documentaries delve into the lives of "Abraham Lincoln," "Theodore Roosevelt," and "Thomas Jefferson." The article also advises viewers to catch "Documentary Now!" before it departs mid-month.
