New Music Friday: Charli, MUNA, Lykke Li & More Drop Hits

This week's New Music Friday showcases significant releases from several prominent artists.

Charli XCX has kicked off her next musical era with the single "Rock Music." Despite her hints of rock inspiration, the one-minute, 55-second track is a driving, grungy dance song with a guitar riff, suitable for the dance floor.

MUNA has released its fourth album, "Dancing On the Wall." The album includes the focus track "Eastside Girls," accompanied by a music video. Vocalist Katie Gavin's distinctive voice ties the album's introspective and uptempo songs together.

Kelela is building anticipation for her album "New Avatar," due July 10, with her latest single "Linknb," a short but impactful genre-blurring track.

Lykke Li has issued her sixth and final career album, "The Afterparty." This release serves as a farewell and a celebration of her nearly two-decade career, with "Happy Now" capturing a key emotional moment.

Rock band The Last Dinner Party has released "Big Dog," featuring electrifying guitar riffs and dynamic vocals, which is already a live show staple and will be heard when they support Olivia Rodrigo in early 2027.

Little Simz has shared "Sugar Girl," her third project in as many years. This collaboration with producer Jakwob is a vibrant collection, with the standout JT-assisted "Game On" blending politics and humor.

PJ Morton offers "Sell My Soul" from his upcoming "Saturday Night, Sunday Morning" double album, a track that emphasizes optimism and faith against temptation, featuring Keyon Harrold on trumpet.
