Mubi has unveiled the trailer for "Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma," a new horror film directed by Jane Schoenbrun. This movie offers a stylized, meta-commentary on the slasher genre and is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 7. The trailer hints at a dark and intense narrative.
The film centers on a young director, played by Hannah Einbinder, who aims to revive the Camp Miasma franchise. Her efforts lead her to a mysterious, reclusive former star of the original films, portrayed by Gillian Anderson.

Einbinder is known for her role in "Hacks," for which she won an Emmy. Anderson, famous for "The X-Files" and "Sex Education," was recently seen in "The Abandons."
