New-Gen Universe, Inc. is launching its initial consumer products initiative at San Diego Comic-Con, unveiling an exclusive collector's trading card set. This collaboration with Cryptozoic Entertainment celebrates the Marvel-distributed comic series and is limited to just 300 convention-exclusive boxes globally.
The collectible set includes 13 cards, with 11 drawn from the comic series' artwork, a special rainbow foil card, and one autograph card. These autograph cards feature signatures from creators or voice actors and are part of a limited run. Buyers at the convention will also receive a complimentary 'New-Gen' graphic novel.
This launch also serves to build anticipation for the forthcoming 3D CGI animated series, 'New-Gen Nanobot Heroes.' The series will follow twin brothers who discover their nanotechnology enhancements and their battle against the villain Deadalus in a futuristic world blending nature and technology.
The 'New-Gen' franchise, created by J.D. Matonti, Julia Coppola, and Chris Matonti, has expanded from its comic book origins into publishing, animation, and consumer products. Debra Joester leads the expanding consumer products program through Joester Loria Group.
Fans attending the convention can preview new artwork for the animated series, which is set to be a 13-episode, 22-minute show. The series is produced by New-Gen Universe and Toonz Media Group, with international distribution by Toonz Media Group and domestic release by Ketchup Entertainment.
