The Third Avenue residence in New Delhi's Chhatarpur enclave is a 25,000 sq. ft. testament to a family's decades-long passion for art and antiques. Designed by Beyond Designs, the seven-acre estate blurs the lines between home and museum, with each room envisioned as a unique sanctuary.
Interiors draw inspiration from Art Deco glamour and French Renaissance elegance, prominently featuring artworks by Indian masters such as MF Husain, FN Souza, Jogen Chowdhury, and Hemen Mazumdar. Rare antiques and cherished heirlooms sourced globally further enrich the maximalist design.
The design, guided by Sachin Gupta and Neha Gupta, aimed to harmoniously integrate diverse art styles and collectables. The residence employs carefully orchestrated transitional spaces, including grand foyers and circulation routes, to enhance the discovery of each curated piece.
Expansive living areas, intimate reading rooms, and private suites are visually connected through strategic passages and large windows that invite the surrounding landscape indoors. The formal living room, for instance, serves as a private gallery showcasing works by FN Souza and MF Husain, complemented by opulent furnishings.
A dedicated Cognac Bar offers a heritage-inspired ambiance with wood panelling and hand-painted murals, while the dining room exudes regal elegance around a large marble table. Bedrooms and master suites on both floors feature bespoke four-poster beds, luxurious upholstery, and meticulously designed dressing areas and bathrooms.
Further enriching the home are specialized spaces like the Moroccan Reading Room, filled with antique treasures, and various lounges adorned with unique art and furnishings, all contributing to an atmosphere of opulent discovery and curated legacy.
