Milwaukee is set to host a new pan-Asian street food and culture festival at Veterans Park on August 22-23. The Asian Street Food Night Market Festival will transform a section of the park into a vibrant celebration, featuring numerous food vendors, cultural performances, and shopping opportunities.
Organized by a Minnesota-based team, this event marks the festival's expansion outside its home market, with Milwaukee chosen for its lakefront, festival culture, and Asian community. The goal is to highlight the broad spectrum of Asian cuisines and cultures, welcoming everyone to attend the free, two-day event.
Attendees can anticipate a wide array of dishes, from grilled skewers and Banh mi burgers to Hmong sausage and Lao-style papaya salad. A unique thatched village dining area, inspired by Thai street markets, will offer a distinctive atmosphere for guests. The festival also includes market vendors selling various merchandise and entertainment such as live DJs and cultural dances.
