A new 3D family animation, "Nina and the Goddess of Thunder," is set to bring Slavic mythology to life. The story follows Perunika, a young goddess, who accidentally loses the hammer essential for forging the sun. Her quest to retrieve it leads her to Earth.
On Earth, Perunika must collaborate with a local inventor named Nina. Together, they race against time to recover the hammer. Their success is crucial to prevent their universe from freezing and succumbing to eternal darkness.
The film is set in the 10th century, within Poland's ancient Białowieża forest. This historical and mythical backdrop will immerse audiences in a world of Slavic legends.
Production for "Nina and the Goddess of Thunder" is scheduled to commence in 2027, with the animation's delivery planned for late 2029. This will be the debut feature film for director Kamil Polak.
