The Netflix thriller "Not a Stranger" centers on new mother Funda, who struggles with postpartum challenges and her marriage. She hires a nanny, Nazlı, who appears perfect but becomes obsessed with the baby.
Funda's mental health deteriorates, leading her to seek treatment. Her friend Kemal investigates Nazlı and discovers she had been secretly poisoning Funda's drinks, exacerbating her postpartum issues. This explains Funda's rapid recovery once away from Nazlı.
It is revealed that Nazlı previously had a relationship with Funda's husband, İlker, and claimed Funda had stolen her life and her chance to have İlker's baby. Nazlı, a former nurse, was fired for sedating a child too heavily.
The season concludes on a cliffhanger. Nazlı and İlker care for the baby, Mavi, while Funda seemingly returns home from treatment. Kemal has not yet decided whether to expose Nazlı's crimes, leaving Funda unaware of the full extent of the deceit.
