Netflix's Icebreaker: New YA Hockey Romance Cast Revealed

Netflix has announced the lead actors for its upcoming adaptation of Hannah Grace's "Maple Hills" book series, titled "Icebreaker." Daisy Jelley will portray Anastasia "Stassie" Allen, a determined athlete aiming for Olympic gold, while Connor Simos takes on the role of Nate Hawkins, a prominent campus hockey player with NHL aspirations.

The series logline highlights the compelling dynamic between Stassie and Nate. Their paths collide when an unforeseen circumstance requires their respective teams to share a single ice rink. This close proximity ignites an intense obsession that transcends their athletic ambitions, suggesting that their mutual desire for each other is as powerful as their drive to win.

"Icebreaker" is being developed by Jade Halley Bartlett, with Amanda Lasher serving as showrunner and writer. Hannah Grace, the author of the original novels, is also an executive producer on the project. They are joined by fellow executive producers Alex Cooper, Matt Kaplan, and Mina Lefevre, who contribute through Unwell Productions.
