Netflix is set to release "In a Holidaze," a new Christmas movie starring Maddie Ziegler. The film centers on Mae, a twenty-something who finds herself in a temporal predicament, reliving the same Christmas repeatedly.
Mae's holiday entanglement begins when she makes a romantic misstep, kissing the wrong brother, Theo (Elias Kacavas), instead of her long-time crush, Andrew (Graham Phillips), who witnesses the act. This leads to her becoming stuck in a loop at her family's beloved cabin.
Inspired by "Groundhog Day" and "Family Stone," the movie explores Mae's journey of self-discovery. Ziegler noted that each time loop reveals a different facet of her character as she learns to go after what she truly wants. Writer-director Tiffany Paulsen also cited "Love Actually" and "Dan in Real Life" as influences.
The film, featuring Rob Lowe, Jackie Sandler, and Patton Oswalt, premieres on Netflix on Wednesday, December 2, 2026. The soundtrack includes music from artists like Ariana Grande and Ava Max.
