Netflix Revives Cantinflas with 35 Classic Films

Netflix is set to significantly boost its Mexican content by adding 35 classic films from the iconic actor and comedian Cantinflas. This extensive collection, including well-known titles like Pepe and El padrecito, will be available to subscribers starting September 1 and will remain accessible until the end of March 2027.

This initiative coincides with Mexican Cinema Day on August 15 and highlights Netflix's commitment to showcasing Mexican cinema. The platform will feature a dedicated section for films from the country. Beyond the Cantinflas legacy, Netflix is also expanding its action movie offerings with multiple new installments planned for the Counterattack franchise, following its 2025 film.

Additionally, a new original film titled 35 Days (35 días) is announced. This movie follows a father's journey through a 35-day rehab program. Netflix emphasizes its role as a creative partner, aiming to tell bold stories that offer an authentic perspective on Mexican life.
