In a significant move, the podcast "Right Now with John Goblikon" has joined the prestigious podcast network of Bill Burr and Al Madrigal's All Things Comedy. The show, which originated as a web series, is a comedy interview program where John Goblikon (the goblin frontman of the L.A. death metal band Nekrogoblikon) chats with friends from the world of stand-up, music, and entertainment.
Since its launch last October, "Right Now" has produced over 50 episodes, featuring a diverse array of guests, including Andrew Santino, Pete Holmes, Paul Scheer, Steph Tolev, Lisa Gilroy, Ron Funches, Kumail Nanjiani, Gareth Reynolds, and Chloe Radcliffe, among many others. The show is co-created by Brandon Dermer, Rispoli, and Alex Alereza, with Rispoli serving as the host and showrunner.
Rispoli's office-goblin persona, John Goblikon, first gained attention through the viral music video for Nekrogoblikon's 2011 single, "No One Survives." Since then, the character has evolved into a touring hype-goblin/frontman, an internet sensation, a comedic host, and the author of "John Goblikon's Guide to Living Your Best Life."
