Former Bay City Rollers guitarist Neil Henderson has died at the age of 73. Henderson was a member of the pop rock band from 1970 to 1972. He played on their initial charting single, 'Keep on Dancing,' before departing prior to the band achieving global fame during "Rollermania."
Following his departure, Henderson joined Middle of the Road, another well-known Scottish group. This band had previously achieved a number one hit with "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep." Henderson's daughters shared that he left the Bay City Rollers due to disagreements over the band's musical direction.
His former bandmates from Middle of the Road issued a statement remembering him as their "original lead guitarist, songwriter and friend."
