Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia is venturing into international cinema with her role in the film '52 Blue'. Directed by Egyptian filmmaker Ali El Arabi, the movie features Dhupia as Lakshmi, a mother supporting her son's fervent wish to meet football icon Lionel Messi at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The film recently marked its North American debut at the Washington, DC International Film Festival on April 19, 2026. It later opened the London Indian Film Festival with its European premiere at BFI Southbank on July 9, and has also been selected for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
