Filmmaker Clarifies Controversial Film Title

Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey has issued a clarification concerning the title of his forthcoming film, 'Ghooskhor Pandat'. A prominent film body had previously sent a notice to Pandey and the streaming platform, objecting to the use of the title without mandatory approval. Pandey explained that the film is a fictional cop drama where 'Pandat' is simply a colloquial name for a fictional character, asserting that the story focuses on individual actions and does not represent any particular caste, religion, or community. He stressed his commitment to creating thoughtful and respectful content. Acknowledging that the title caused hurt to some viewers, Pandey announced the decision to temporarily remove all promotional materials. He believes the film should be judged in its entirety, within the context of its story, rather than by partial glimpses. The Film Makers Combine had issued a notice, claiming that the makers had not obtained the required industry approval for the title, and cautioned that unauthorized use could lead to disciplinary action.
