Neena Gupta Reveals Deception By Shrimaan Shrimati Makers

Neena Gupta, known for her candid nature, recently recounted an unsettling experience from her time on the TV show Shrimaan Shrimati. She joined the series as a replacement for actress Archana, who was pregnant. Gupta stated that the show's producers deliberately misled her, assuring her that Archana would not return after her maternity leave.

Despite knowing it would be challenging to replace a popular character, Gupta accepted the role. However, her time on the show was cut short when Archana returned post-pregnancy. Gupta learned of Archana's comeback from a friend, not the production team. She believes the producers lied to ensure she would take the role, fearing she might refuse if she knew Archana was returning.
