Rapper NBA YoungBoy Relocates to South Korea, Eyes Final Albums

Multifaceted recording artist NBA YoungBoy, legally known as Kentrell Gaulden, has established residence in South Korea and has expressed no inclination to return to the United States. This decision follows his receipt of a presidential pardon last year for gun-related charges.

During a recent podcast appearance, the 26-year-old disclosed a significant heart condition, indicating a potential limit of one or two more albums in his music career. He described the left side of his heart as swollen, a condition he managed during past tours.

Gaulden's choice of South Korea as a new home was attributed to its peaceful environment, cleanliness, and overall safety. He explicitly stated his disinterest in returning to the U.S., hinting at past legal challenges that might influence his residency status.

The artist's legal history includes a federal conviction in Utah for possessing weapons as a felon, which concluded with an agreement resolving state and federal charges. He was released from federal prison in March and subsequently placed on home confinement, with his pardon negating probation terms.

Previously, Gaulden had also pleaded guilty to his involvement in a prescription drug fraud scheme in Utah. Despite these legal entanglements, he has achieved significant commercial success, including four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and a Grammy nomination for his collaboration on Tyler, The Creator's song 'Wusyaname'.
