Nayak Sequel Announced: Saurabh Shukla Unaware

Producer Deepak Mukut has officially confirmed that a sequel to the 2001 political drama Nayak: The Real Hero is in the works, with Anil Kapoor also involved in the project. This announcement follows earlier unconfirmed reports about the film's continuation.

Actor Saurabh Shukla, who was a notable part of the original cast, shared in a recent interview that he has not been approached for the sequel. Shukla expressed that his participation would entirely depend on the strength of the script and the story presented to him. He also reflected on the enduring popularity of his character Kallu Mama from 'Satya,' appreciating the audience's lasting memory of his performances.

The original film featured Anil Kapoor as Shivaji Rao, a news cameraman who accepts a challenge to become the Chief Minister for a day, highlighting the complexities of the role. The cast also included Amrish Puri, Rani Mukerji, Paresh Rawal, and Saurabh Shukla.
