Nathan Evans, who gained global fame with his sea shanty 'Wellerman' five years ago, has pivoted towards his Scottish roots. The 2026 single 'Heather on the Hill,' a song rich in Scottish imagery and folklore, signaled this new direction. With an impressive 63 million plays on Spotify, the track confirmed Evans' desire to center his music around Scottish culture and folk traditions.

This musical shift led to a significant collaboration with the Scottish brothers Alan and Stevie Jukes, known as the duo St Phnx. Having been involved in the music scene since 2016, they brought valuable industry experience to Evans, who was a postman before his viral fame. Their shared creative journey has culminated in the release of the album 'The Angels' Share,' a project born from extensive collaboration and personal growth, including becoming fathers.

The new album represents a deeper connection to their Scottish heritage, a departure from the transatlantic sound they previously pursued. Following the album's release, the trio is embarking on a world tour, starting in Los Angeles in February.
