Meyers reportedly sought a budget of at least $150 million, but the streamer was unwilling to exceed $130 million.
At one point, the film, then possibly titled "Paris Paramount," was in discussions with stars including Penélope Cruz, Owen Wilson, Michael Fassbender, and Scarlett Johansson. The plot was described as semi-autobiographical, focusing on a writer-producer pair who achieve success before separating, only to be reunited by a high-stakes project.
