Scotland's culinary titans Nick Nairn and Sam Yorke are set to face off at the upcoming Meatopia On-Fire festival in Glasgow. This highly anticipated event, scheduled for June 12-14, will see the two chefs cooking over open flames. Nairn and Yorke share a remarkable distinction: both were the youngest chefs in Scotland to earn Michelin stars at the time of their awards, representing different generations of culinary talent.

Nairn, a well-known restaurateur and television personality, earned his star in the early 1990s. Yorke achieved this milestone in 2023 at the age of 25 for his restaurant Heron in Leith. He expressed his excitement about cooking alongside Nairn, calling it a surreal honour. The festival, returning to Glasgow's west end after a successful debut last year, is described as "the UK's favourite live-fire food festival."
