- Service aims to simplify temple visits for citizens.

Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is set to introduce an innovative 'Dev Darshan Yatra Bus Circuit,' offering citizens a convenient way to explore 15 significant religious, spiritual, and cultural landmarks in and near the city. This on-demand service allows individuals or groups to book an entire bus for an eight-hour tour, with prices starting at Rs 5,000.
The proposed circuit includes popular sites such as Ganesh Tekdi Mandir, Swaminarayan Mandir, Dragon Palace, and Deekshabhoomi, among others. Bookings are planned to be accessible via the Chalo Mobility call center and digital channels, with routes and timings adaptable to passenger demand. This pilot service is designed to operate without impacting existing city bus routes.
In addition to the temple circuit, the NMC transport committee will also review proposals concerning staff welfare. This includes a potential pay hike for 1,880 conductors and other contractual staff, aligning with a state government notification from October 14, 2024. A proposal also seeks to make the smart public toilet at Mor Bhavan Depot-2 accessible free of charge to bus drivers and conductors.
