Naga Chaitanya Seeks Court Ban on Online Misuse of Identity

Naga Chaitanya has initiated legal proceedings in the Delhi High Court, seeking protection against the misuse of his identity and its damaging effects on his reputation. The actor's legal team raised concerns about various online issues, including AI-generated content, unauthorized merchandise, and the circulation of pornographic material.

During a hearing on May 29, Chaitanya's counsel argued that false claims and online trolling, particularly regarding his personal life and career, have caused significant harm. The court acknowledged that while public figures face scrutiny, it has limits. Consequently, summons were issued, and the court signaled its intent to grant an interim order safeguarding the actor's personality rights. A subsequent hearing is scheduled for September 30.
