The infected do not turn violent, but instead become calm, cooperative, and purposeful, moving with a shared consciousness. Hundreds of millions perish in accidents as the hive mind takes over, and by November 2025, over 7 billion people have been linked together in this collective consciousness.
However, Carol Sturka, one of the most miserable people on Earth, is among the 13 who remain unaffected. Now, Carol must battle to save humanity from the hive mind that has taken over the world. The show explores the chilling aftermath of this global event and the struggle of the lone holdouts to regain their agency and free will.
