- The Black Parade achieved first UK number one album 20 years after release.
- Album re-release propelled My Chemical Romance to the top chart spot.
- Fontaines DC's album dropped to number two following MCR's success.

Emo band My Chemical Romance has achieved a landmark moment in their career, with their album The Black Parade reaching the number one spot on the UK album chart. This success comes 20 years after the album's original release in 2006, when it peaked at number two. The reissue, celebrating its two-decade anniversary, has now propelled the record to its first UK number one.
The Black Parade ousted the previous chart-topper, Dopamine Chamber by Irish rock band Fontaines DC, pushing them to second place. However, Fontaines DC still saw success with their single Mimesis charting at number 34. The current top five albums also include Olivia Rodrigo's You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love at number three, Amy Winehouse's Back To Black at four, and Michael Jackson's compilation The Essential at five. Notably, Winehouse's 2006 record was also reissued for its 20th anniversary.
In other chart news, Jamie Miller's single Babydoll remains at the top of the UK singles chart for a second week. Anticipation for Halloween also saw a significant boost in sales for Michael Jackson's iconic single Thriller, which rose 22 places to number 17.
