The American Icon: A Mustang Immersive Experience offers a captivating journey through the six-decade history of the Ford Mustang. This unique exhibit, housed in a repurposed Los Angeles warehouse, eschews traditional displays for immersive projection technology that brings various Mustang eras to life. Visitors can explore the car's evolution, from its 1964 debut to its memorable roles in film and television.
Notable vehicles featured include the 1967 Mustang "Eleanor" from "Gone in 60 Seconds" and a Mustang from "Transformers." The experience aims to transport attendees through time with dynamic visuals and soundscapes. For an added thrill, an optional 4D ride simulates sensory experiences, though it's not suitable for very young children.
Open to the public through early February, the exhibit has drawn enthusiastic visitors, including couples who have personal connections to the Mustang, like owning a 1966 model they were married in. Tickets are available for purchase, with discounts offered on new Ford vehicles in Southern California. The experience is also planned as a touring show.
