- Story involves a psychologist couple counseling criminals.

Amazon MGM has preemptively acquired "Attachment Parenting," a new comedy project set to star Eddie Murphy and Eva Longoria. The film, based on a short story by Julianna Baggott, centers on a psychologist couple whose unconventional parenting approach faces its ultimate challenge. They are held hostage in a hotel and tasked with counseling a crime boss's dysfunctional family.
This project marks a reunion for Murphy, Longoria, and producer John Davis, who previously worked together on Amazon's "The Pickup." Murphy and Longoria are attached to produce through their respective companies, Eddie Murphy Productions and Hyphenate. Charisse Hewitt-Webster and Jade Miranda are also producing.
The film's vibe is described as reminiscent of classic studio comedies. Currently, no writer or director has been attached to the project, which is in the early stages of development. Murphy has a growing relationship with Amazon, having starred in "Candy Cane Lane" and "The Pickup" for the streamer last year.
