Fox has officially renewed the popular mystery drama 'Murder in a Small Town' for a third season. This renewal, scheduled to air in the 2026-27 broadcast season, means Fox has now finalized its decisions for all scripted shows airing this year. The series also broadcasts in Canada on the Global network.
Joining the returning stars Rossif Sutherland and Kristin Kreuk will be Peter Gallagher, known for his roles in 'Grace and Frankie' and 'The O.C.' Gallagher is set to portray Rod Finlayson, a charismatic yet unpredictable figure whose arrival in Gibsons is expected to create significant upheaval for the main characters.
Based on the novels by L.R. Wright, 'Murder in a Small Town' follows former big-city detective Karl Alberg as he seeks a quieter life in a coastal town, only to find it teeming with secrets and crime. Kreuk plays Cassandra Lee, a librarian who becomes Alberg's love interest and a town council member.
