Rachel Weisz is set to reprise her role as Evelyn O'Connell in The Mummy 4, marking her return to the franchise after more than two decades. She was last seen as Evelyn in 2001's The Mummy Returns and did not appear in the third film. Weisz has been spotted filming in London, dressed in period attire, and carrying vintage accessories.
This new installment will see Weisz reunite with Brendan Fraser, who returns as Rick O'Connell. The pair, last seen together as the O'Connells nearly 25 years ago, are joined by John Hannah as Jonathan Carnahan and Oded Fehr as Ardeth Bay. Michael Johnston and Numan Acar are new additions to the cast.
The Mummy 4 is being directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known for Scream and Ready or Not. While plot details remain under wraps, the film was initially reported in November 2025 and officially confirmed in February 2026. The Mummy 4 is now slated for an earlier release date of October 15, 2027, moved up from its original May 19, 2028 slot.
