Direction is helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The project was launched in Chennai on the occasion of M.S. Subbulakshmi's 110th birth anniversary.
M.S. Subbulakshmi, a Bharat Ratna recipient, was renowned for bringing Carnatic music to global audiences. Her historic 1966 performance at the United Nations General Assembly in New York marked a significant milestone for Indian classical music internationally. She was also the first musician to be honored with the Bharat Ratna award.
The film aims to capture the essence of Subbulakshmi's musical journey and her significant contributions to Indian culture. With a pan-India release planned, the biopic promises to introduce her legacy to a new generation.
