Larry Heard's Mr. Fingers Returns After 25 Years

Larry Heard, the pioneering force behind Mr. Fingers, has unveiled "Cerebral Hemispheres," his first full-length album under the alias in almost twenty-five years. This new release signifies a comprehensive exploration of Heard's diverse musical palette, blending his iconic deep house roots with a wider array of sounds and ideas. The album builds upon the interstellar signals of his 2016 "Outer Acid" EP, translating them back into compelling dancefloor narratives.

Several tracks from the "Outer Acid" EP are reprised on "Cerebral Hemispheres," showcasing Heard's continued development. The album features the gurgling "Outer Acid" alongside the minimal techno of "Inner Acid," and the percussive exploration of "Nodyahed" is complemented by the title track's hypnotic blend of drums, synths, and breathy accents. This collection reflects Heard's enduring talent and his ability to innovate within the electronic music landscape.
