Dre Skull described the creative process as a natural fusion of dancehall and Afrobeats elements, evolving from studio sessions into a full-fledged project. Mr Eazi credits Nigerian konto artists for his early exposure to dancehall, a genre he deeply admires for its raw energy and authentic expression.
The single "Lambo" showcases Eazi's signature wordplay, incorporating both Jamaican patois and Nigerian pidgin. Dre Skull highlighted the track's hypnotic quality and Vybz Kartel's perfect counterpoint to Eazi's delivery. "Yard & Yanga" follows Eazi's previous mixtapes and is set for release later this year through Dre Skull's Mixpak Records and Eazi's emPawa Africa.
