Illustrator Sam Cox, popularly known as Mr Doodle, recently engaged students at Warren Primary School in Grays, Essex, with an art session for Comic Relief. The artist, renowned for his distinctive doodle style, encouraged children to express their creativity on a white mural and by decorating their red noses.
Cox, originally from Tenterden in Kent, visited the school as a gesture of thanks for their significant fundraising efforts for Comic Relief. The event saw pupils enthusiastically participating, with examples like 11-year-old Lara drawing Saturn on her nose, inspired by a message of self-acceptance, and eight-year-old Azariah expressing his love for peregrine falcons.
This initiative coincides with the upcoming Red Nose Day on March 20th. Mr Doodle's artistic journey began with doodling on household furniture, famously culminating in him covering his entire house with his signature style in 2022. In 2020, he was recognized as a highly successful young artist globally.
