Mormon Wives Star Avoids Charges Amid Filming Pause
15 Apr
Summary
- Taylor Frankie Paul will not face charges due to expired statute of limitations.
- Filming for 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' season five remains paused.
- The Bachelorette franchise future is uncertain after Paul's season was pulled.

Taylor Frankie Paul will not face criminal charges following investigations by Draper and West Jordan police departments. The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office announced the decision, citing the expiration of the statute of limitations for incidents that occurred over three years prior. This development occurs while production for season five of 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' remains paused.
Filming was suspended approximately a month ago after a domestic assault investigation involving Paul and ex-partner Dakota Mortensen. The show's production company, Jeff Jenkins Productions, has been conducting its own separate investigation. There has been no update on when filming might resume or the ultimate fate of season five.
In related news, ABC has also not provided an update on 'The Bachelorette' franchise, following the pulling of Paul's season. The uncertainty surrounding both 'Mormon Wives' and 'The Bachelorette' leaves two of Disney's prominent unscripted shows in limbo amid various scandals.
Separately, Paul and Mortensen appeared in court on April 7 regarding an order of protection Mortensen filed. Paul also filed a temporary restraining order against Mortensen on the same day. Their next hearing is scheduled for April 30, which may impact parental time for their shared son, Ever True.
