Summary
- Psychotherapist Linda struggles with her daughter's mysterious illness
- Ceiling leak in her condo exacerbates Linda's mounting anxieties
- Therapist likens Linda to a "lab rat" as she unravels under pressure

In the lead-up to the October 20th release of the new A24 film "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You," the movie is generating buzz for its raw and honest portrayal of contemporary motherhood. The film follows Linda, a Montauk-based psychotherapist played by a "magnificently unraveling" Rose Byrne, as she navigates a series of personal crises that push her to the brink.
Linda's daughter is suffering from a mysterious illness that requires her to be fed through a feeding tube, leaving Linda feeling responsible and anxious. Just as Linda is struggling to cope with her daughter's condition, a leak in the ceiling of her condo erupts into a gaping hole, exacerbating her mounting anxieties. To make matters worse, Linda's own therapist, played by Conan O'Brien, likens her to a "lab rat" who keeps "gnawing its own limbs off."
