The 8th edition of the Monsoon Art Fest, a celebrated exhibition of paintings and sculptures, concluded on November 16, 2025, in Thiruvananthapuram. The 10-day event, which started on November 8, brought together over 150 eminent Malayali artists from across India, the largest gathering of its kind ever held in the city.
The exhibition, curated by noted artist T R Udayakumar, featured a rich collection of paintings, graphic prints, sculptures, installations, and photographs. Sculptures made from diverse materials such as bronze, fibre, marble powder, gun metal, and wood were also on display, showcasing the depth and diversity of contemporary Kerala art.
Renowned sculptor N N Rimzon inaugurated the festival, which in previous years was hosted at Durbar Hall in Ernakulam. This year marked the debut of the Monsoon Art Fest in Thiruvananthapuram, with prominent participants including K Prabhakaran, Abhimanyu Govindan, Alexander Devassya, Sajitha Shankar, Pradeep Puthur, Bara Bhaskaran, Zakir Hussain, Ajay Kumar, and Sunil Ashokapuram.
