Monkeypaw Productions Uncovers Untold Story of Black Cowboys

In November 2025, Monkeypaw Productions, the production company founded by acclaimed filmmaker Jordan Peele, is set to release a groundbreaking docuseries that aims to dismantle the whitewashed mythology of the cowboy. Titled "High Horse: The Black Cowboy," the three-part documentary confronts and reclaims the Wild West, revealing the largely untold story of the Black cowboy.

Peele, who serves as an executive producer on the project, expressed his gratitude to Monkeypaw for "amplifying the powerful voices and long-standing culture of Black Cowboys and Cowgirls" through this documentary.
