Monarch Finale: Time Travel, Titans, and a Shocking Return
1 May
Summary
- Isabel seeks to control Axis Mundi for time travel and profit.
- Kentaro aims to use Axis Mundi to resurrect his father, Hiroshi.
- Rodan, a massive Titan, reappears atop a volcano in Thailand.

The season finale of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has concluded, resolving major plot points and setting the stage for future Monsterverse installments. Isabel, daughter of Apex's Walter Simmons, intends to seize control of the Axis Mundi to facilitate time travel and generate profit.
Concurrently, Kentaro's objective in aiding Isabel is to revive his father, Hiroshi, who previously disappeared into the Axis Mundi through a rift. A version of Hiroshi is believed to still exist within this dimension.
Further complicating matters, the finale reveals that Skull Island served as the Axis Mundi's control hub, with Apex aiming to use Corah's code to incite Titan X against Kong, thereby securing the island.
In a significant turn of events, Lee Shaw discovers Rodan, a massive Titan, situated atop a volcano in Thailand. This reappearance, detailed in a drawing shared by Shaw and sought by Kentaro and Isabel, suggests Rodan may hold the key to accessing the Axis Mundi.
The series also sets up a potential Monarch: Legacy of Monsters spinoff focusing on a young Lee Shaw in the 1980s during the Cold War. The finale tied up loose ends concerning Titan X and its egg, successfully returning it home.
Monarch's future operations, dubbed Monarch 2.0, will emphasize science and discovery, with a renewed mission to track Kentaro and protect the Axis Mundi from misuse, aligning with the original intent of the organization.
