The live-action family adventure film "Momo," based on Michael Ende's novel, is generating significant international interest with numerous distribution deals closed by Epsilon Film. Starring Martin Freeman and Claes Bang, the movie is slated for a summer 2026 theatrical release in the U.K. and Ireland.
The narrative centers on the orphaned Momo, who valiantly opposes the mysterious Men in Grey. These antagonists are depicted as systematically stealing people's time while gradually seizing control of the city. Christian Ditter, known for "Love, Rosie," directs the project.
"Momo" boasts an ensemble cast including Alexa Goodall, Araloyin Oshunremi, Kim Bodnia, Laura Haddock, and Jennifer Amaka Pettersson. The film is a production of Rat Pack Filmproduktion and Constantin Film, with collaborations from Westside, Beta Film, Noisemaker, and Pakt Media.
Epsilon Film's recent slate includes animated titles like "Dreamers - The Hunt for Shadowclaw" and "The Amazing Maurice 2." They also represent "Lassie and the Wild Bear" and the Sky Original production "Robin and the Hoods." Epsilon holds global rights for "The School of Magical Animals," parts 3 and 4, Germany's biggest box-office success of the last five years.
